After missing two major catches – dead bodies of Sunil Gangopadhyay and Manna Dey, Ms Mamata Banerjee was in no position to miss the third one. She camped at Belle View Nursing Home, while Mahanayika Suchitra Sen was ailing. During that period Ms Banerjee came close to Moonmoon Sen and after Mahanayika Suchitra Sen’s death, Moonmoon Sen joined Trinamool Congress. She proved to be a match-winning catch by Ms Banerjee, when Sen defeated CPI(M)'s nine-time MP, Basudeb Acharia in 2014 Lok Sabha Polls and won from Bankura Constituency.
