Teacher’s
day is celebrated internationally on 5th September. In India it is
Birthday as well of our great scholar Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
Sarvepalli
Radhakrishnan; was an Indian philosopher and statesman who was the first
Vice-President of India and the second President of India from 1962 to 1967. He
was awarded Bharat Ratna for his exemplary contribution towards education &
Children.
So Nation takes pride
to pay respect to Teachers as well to Our Ex president on this day.
India had a long
history of internationally acclaimed Vedic Education. Our teachers used to be
highly knowledgeable Monks, who imparted education in a village. They imparted
education from poor to rich under one roof. Our culture taught that nobody is
higher. All has same status when you are student. Guru is to be respected by all
& Kids learn values of life & Indian society from them.
In these Gurukuls Students were taught Education, they were imparted physical training as well as musical instrumentss & dances. A compact system to make a boy get fullfilled in all streams.
If you go through
History books, all rulers of India has stayed with poor in “GuruKul” &
learnt how to respect tradition and life.
Unfortunately that
Gurukul system is not seen any where now but Westernised Boarding Schools are seen.
An unrest in all
colleges is obseved in the name of Students’ politics. Lot of disrespect to
teachers is painfully noticed.
Our old tradition of
Students staying with “Guru”s & learning values of society should be
braught backfor the good of society.
Unfortunately we have
not seen this event as an important event after indepence at all.
No Prime Minister has
addressed students as well to nation on this day, while they always said “Students
are backbone of society”
Our Prime
Minister will talk to 1,000 students at the Manekshaw Auditorium in Delhi and
will also field questions on video conferencing from children across the
country.
Directorate of Education
isuued circular in Delhi. “All heads of schools of government,
government-aided, unaided (and) MCDs (corporations) shall make arrangement to
assemble the children in order from 2:30 pm to 4:45 pm on that day so that
children (can) view the Prime Minister’s address.”
Schools
have rearranged schedules to ensure that children are present between 3 and 4
pm to watch the telecast.
Government has shown respect to Gurus of all spheres
Some
Political parties is trying to to give wrong political color to this huge
national event.
We
Convey our “Pranam”(Sallute) to all our ”Guru” (Teachers),advise all students
to respect Teachers & parents.
Listen
to our PM for the first time addressing tihis event.
