A 7 year old girl was raped and killed in Rajnagar village in West Bengal's East Midnapore. She went out to buy some snacks for herself and returned home. Her half naked raped body was left hanging from a neem tree.

 

A tribal woman in a village 60 kms from Santiniketan in West Bengal's Birbhum district was gang raped after a kangaroo tribal court ordered it. Some of those who raped her were mere teenagers and others old enough to be her father. Her crime? She fell in love with a man who was not from her tribe.

 

A teenage girl was raped and her throat slit in  the English bazar of West Bengal's Malda district. Bleeding and left for the dead, she walked to a nearby tea stall for help. She was lured by the accused on the pretext of buying her a bicycle.

 

A 20 year college student was abducted in the afternoon and gang raped by at least 9 men in Kamduni in West Bengal's Capital. Then her legs were torn apart till her navel, throat was slit and left to die.

 

A 28 year old housewife and her 40 year old aunt-in-law were raped her husband's co-workers. After the rape, they were slashed by blades all over.

 

A deaf and speech impaired minor girl was kidnapped from a wedding and raped by men who took turns in Baduria in West Bengal's North 24 Paraganas district.

 

A 12 year old girl was raped in Sasthigoria Park in Ranigang Municipality, in West Bengal's Burdwan district. The men who raped her added sedatives to her drink and then raped her.

 

A 9-year-old girl was raped and strangulated to death in Andal town of West Bengal's Burdwan district.

 

a 14-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped and strangulated to death while she was returning home from school in West Bengal's Nadia district.
