TMC is finding it hard to sell the BJP "political vendetta" story across the board. Therefore, to boosts its game plan the TMC is trying alternate means but not to much success.
This is how the insanity is playing out...
1. TMC has co-ordinated with JD(U), SP, BSP, CPM, CPI, DMK to stall business in Parliament as much as possible on issues like conversion and so on. Please note that most of the parties it is aligning with are known for heightened examples of corruption.
2. Since people are getting impatient with the dramatic inside Parliament, TMC plans to take the agitation outside it. TMC MPs Saugata Roy and Derek O'Brian raised the Sarada issue in Parliament but it didnt garner any support.
3. Congress and the Left parties are clamouring for Mamata's interrogation in the Sarada case.
4. Pushed to the brink, TMC pulling the utlimate big gun - a "mahamichil". However, even with Mayor Sovan Chatterjee leading the charge in Mayo road - Park Street - Esplande march, it had few followeres and didnt inspire confidence. Gautam Sarkar claimed 60,000 supporters turned up for the rally but in fact the number was just a fraction of it. The rally was over in exactly an hour!
So black shaws cannot cover a black heart. It can cover a blackened face perhaps?
