Didi’s Damage Control Group

With so many Didi’s Managers in Trinamool Congress Party, earlier brought to you in Didi’s Confusion: Managers or Damagers? Part 1 & 2, either managing or damaging a situation, Didi had to set her last line of defense correct.  For that Didi chose 3 stalwarts – Partha Chatterjee, Firhad Hakim and the old warhorse Subrata Mukherjee. Though she had torrid times will all these three earlier, but chose them for their consistency, persistency and loyalty towards her. You will see either of these three facing the press when any untoward incident takes place or done by TMC leaders and party workers.

Partha Chatterjee, aged 59, is politician of West Bengal. He represents Trinamool Congress. Chatterjee born in Calcutta, did schooling from Ramkrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Nrendrapur, graduated from Asutosh College in Economics and holds post-graduation in Business Administration. Chatterjee worked as a HR professional in Andrew Yule. He was elected MLA from Behala Paschim Assembly seat in 2001 and subsequently re-elected from same Assembly seat in 2006 and 2011. He became cabinet minister in Mamata Banerjee’s ministry on 20^th May 2011 and allotted the portfolios of commerce and industry, public enterprises, information technology and parliamentary affairs. Later in a portfolio re-shuffle he was allotted the portfolio of Education.

Mr. Chatterji was opposition leader during left rule.He personally went to invite Ex CM Buddhadeb Bhattacharya for attending Miss Bannerji’s oath ceremony.Even When TMC leaders gave call “not to go any CPM leader’s house for tea even”,Partha hasn’t said anything. Many believes he has access to many CPIM leaders. Yesterday he has attended meeting of Left sponsored Teachers’ Union.

His Main enemy is Bharatiya Janata party Nowadays. Suprisingly His Friend Derek O’Brien is saying the exact words In Delhi which he says in Kolkata.All scripted?

Firhad Hakim is a politician and the present Minister for Urban Development and the Minister for Municipal Affairs in the Government of West Bengal. He is also an MLA, elected from the Kolkata Port constituency in the West Bengal state assembly election, 2011. Since the left Rule his politics centered upon politics in SSKM. He has good control on staff & doctors over there. Many feel SSKM has become secured Jail for Accused in Shardha scam. First Mr.Madan Mitra suddenly transferred him from Bellview before arrest. Secondly Srinjoy Bose admitted there after arrest. Now Mr,Madan is again admitted. Reason to believe that this is being monitored by this Minister.

Subrata Mukherjee is a politician and the present Minister for Public Health Engineering in the Government of West Bengal. He is also an MLA, elected from the Ballygunge constituency in the West Bengal state assembly election, 2011. He is also the Village Development and Panchyat Minister from 27 December 2011. In 1999, he joined hands with Mamata Banerjee parting his ways with the Indian National Congress. This decision came from the Congress MLA, as Indian National Congress denied the INTUC General Secretary of the nomination to the governing body of the ILO for the second term. He was made the Mayor of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation in 2000, as a Trinamool Congress candidate. However even after being the Mayor as a Trinamool leader, he decided not to resign as the Congress member of the Legislative assembly.  Many insiders in Trinamul jokingly call him “Tormuj”(Watermelon). Watermelon has hard cover of Green but deep red inside. Many believes he is insider of CPIM ranks. Being youngest Police Minister of state in Congress led Government,he has lot of information about underground activities.

In 2005, Mukherjee quit Trinamool Congress following differences with Mamata Banerjee, and returned to the Congress. In 2010, he left the Indian National Congress, and again joined Trinamool Congress. Earlier he was a minister in Sidharta Shankar Ray’s Cabinet(1972-77). He starred in a Television Serial “Choudhury Pharmaceuticals” pairing with Moonmoon Sen.
