Mamata's Cadre Masti

As the Sarada scam fallout lurches from one debacle after another, the TMC protest rallies are getting smaller and smaller.

 

So where are the faithfuls going one may ask? No far apparently. They are being wined and dined in Digha.

 

In order to retain their cadres, the TMC has resorted to taking their cadre to exotic locales for a weekend of fun and frolic. And this is no mean trip either.

 

The trip of 250 cadres starts early morning on Saturday from Kolkata. The booze startes flowing right away. The long drive is a time for shot of drinks with obscene stories. By the time everyone arrives in Digha, the party is in a "good mood" and ready for lunch.

 

Lunch is a grand affair with kosha mangsho (mutton) on the menu.

 

After a refreshing nap in the afternoon, the party is ready to kick into high gear again. Booze is ofcourse in constant supply. The night revelries commence early evening on the beach. Dinner is a affair with prawns on the menu. The party continues till the wee hours of the morning. Girls in Digha, beware!

 

Sunday every one wakes up late, has a sobering lunch with hilsa on the menu and a trip back to Kolkata in the late evening.

 

After the refreshing weekend the cadres are all excited about a new round of disruption and mayhem on the streets of Kolkata.

 

These weekend trips cost a mean buck as one may imagine. And how do you think the TMC is paying for these? From your and my tax paying money! After all the money from the Sarada scam is too risky to spend perhaps...
