Good governance is a primary requirement of a Chief Minister. Representing the state in matters that affect the state and country is a mandate. But our Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is a proponent of mischief making. Therefore, while teaching others of "constructive work", she makes every effort to skip meetings of strategic importance. She recently skipped the meeting with PM Modi on the restructuring of the Planning Commission. Now she is skipping the meeting with RBI Governor Rajan.
This is nothing new. She had a regular habit of skipping Cabinet meetings when she was Railway Minister. She also has been frequent in skipping major events organized by her own government.
But to her credit she never misses a single event organized by film stars, cricketers... She is diligent in attending Puja pandals where she is not invited and inaugurating them!
Odd isn't it? What do you think?
