Shantiniketan was started by Rabindranath Tagore to impart education in unconventional way but what hapened yesterday was Shameful to the nation. Poushmela is Prestigious event & visitors all across the world comes here to see the event. Yesterday was 7 th day of Paush in Bengali calendar. Every year special prayer is held to commemorate the day. Bangladesh is land of rabindranath Tagore,infact their national anthem is also from Tagore's songs, Bangladesh President was in State. He remembered that day & made programme to visit Shantiniketan. But Vice Chancellor Sushata Dutta Gupta can't able to receive in from Helipad. District Magistrate went there. bangladesh President came in Shantiniketan but could not meet Sushanta Dutta Gupta as well. He visited university for half an hour & left but Dutta Gupta was still stuck in Dharna of students. He was kept as prisoner by students for 20 hours yesterday. Even He could not attend special prayer of the auspicious day. That event was also completed by somebody else. Whole national & international visitors President of neighboring country saw how disruptive culture this state is going through. Rabindranath came in Birbhum as this this is peaceful area. Now Anubrata,Manirul rules here. Here terrorist training camp found in Madrasas at a stone throwing distance from President's sister's house. Here now Panchayat order gangrape of woman but what happened yesterday in unforgivable. Anubrata,Manirul,Luvpur was internal affair but national & international spectators saw,what respect we pay to our national poet.

Before coming to Shantiniketan President went to Jadavpur as well but he saw same thing. Same disruption same protest. He had to cut short his programme & left University campus. What is happening students? can't you hold your protest off for two hours. Do you think your protest will not be heard if you stop protest for 2 hours. You must understand what you have done is absolutely wrong & shameful. You have turned 23rd December as black Day. You have shown the world how indisciplined our students are. They are guided by political masters but question remains why nobody from ruling political party or leaders from principle opposition allowed this to happen. Professors,non teaching professionals all have political affiliation. Doesn't have guts to tell the young students,what is right & what is shameful.

We are not sure if students understood their mistake. We want to tell them Medical Council has deducted few seats from different Medical colleges in Bengal. We are aware law & order infrastructure keeping many good students to fly away from state. But you have future ahead of you. Your conduct & atmosphere in educational institution will matter for you when you will enter professional world.

You have right to Protest but learn the restrain & When to Stop.

We will also request our Party workers to talk to misguided young Students & Tell them what is right.
