Bowled Out

The pugnacious Mamata Banerjee told Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu: “You can keep batting but we will fight you politically and bowl you out.”

 Lets test the theory...

First Ball

Food prince have come down by over 50% since the BJP government has taken over at the center.

TMC: Mamata Banerjee could not control potato prices when it was Rs. 40 a kilo. She pegged the price at Rs. 13 and all potatos vanished from the market.

Second Ball

Oil prices have come down 8 times since the BJP goverment took over at the cneter.

TMC: Mamata Banerjee have not reduced the cost of travel fare - bus prices, auto and taxi ratse and shuttle prices - in the last 8 opportunities that presented itself.

Third Ball 

The Supreme Court had to finally step in to ensure the proper investigation of the Sarada scam.

TMC: Sarada scam was unearthed and Mamata Banerjee went out of her way to protect the perpetrators as she is still trying to do by arm twisting the law. She let down her own supporters who had invested in the Ponzi scheme after encouragement from the party big wigs. Some of the desparate investors have commited suicide in the wake of the fraud.

Fourth Ball

Singur was a hotbed of agitiation for the Tata Nano plant over land acquisition.

TMC: Mamata Banerjee went on a fast in support of the farmers. The people have neither got the Tata plant coming which would have given employment to so many people and would have helped a secondary economy based on the plant to florish, nor did they get full compensation for the land. In some case the return of the land is also pending. Mamata Banerjee came to power based on the Singur wave and never went to visit the place again.

Fifth Ball

Supreme Court sqaushed the stipend scheme for the mullahs.

TMC: Mamata Banerjee in her over reaching appeasement scheme has increased the dole to the Mulism community by over 200%. She has surpassed the appeasement done by the CPM governement in 35 years. Upon the Court's ruling, Mamata Banerjee asserted that the Court is against the Muslims, not her!

Last Ball

Violence against women in all shape and form has gone up significantly in the state.

TMC: Mamata Banerjee being a woman herself has utter disdain for the female victims and survivors of violent crimes. Not only that she finds excuses and make light matter of party members who repeatedly and regularly threaten rape and other sundry violent crimes against women. They even go to the extent of character assignation of the victims and survivors. All this in the light of the Nibhaya tragedy and its aftermath!
