Mamata Banerjee is tom-toming the " political vendetta" theory to anyone who cares to listen. But true to TMC political culture decent has started brewing within party ranks. Senior leaders are questioning the benefit of the agitation and the wiseness of taking the CBI head on.

 

Mamata Banerjee has already conceded, " Ei lorai banchar lorai (this is a battle for survival)," referring to the fight with the BJP.

 

All this agitiation warrants the question - is this agitation a means of diversion from the main issue of governance or a fight for the very survival of the TMC against the saffron tide?
