The Study Group headed by party Vice President Balbir Punj presented its findings after a visiting Birbhum district to party President Amit Shah.
Highlights of the report:
1. There is constant danger of violence in the state and minorities are living in constant fear.
2. The Union Home Ministry should take cognisance of such violence and demand a report from the Bengal Government.
3. National Minorities Commission should be on the alerts for violations of rights across the state. Adequate action should be taken along with the Human Rights Commission.
4. The report highlights that CPI-M goons have joined TMC and spreading violence across the state as it did under CPI-M rule.
5. The up-swing in BJP support has unnerved the TMC and they are resorting to violent looting and killings along with police and Government support against BJP workers.
6. The violence in the state is demoralizing people who had voted TMC to power in hope of a better future for the state.
